1. PC or Tablet Mode (Allows you to view data collector software)
Bottom right-hand corner (next to time and date) click either Tablet Mode on or off.
2. Updating MAGNET software
Go into MAGNET FIELD, click on M in the top left-hand corner and press Software Updates. Then press Install button and it’ll automatically start the process.
3. How to turn off Keyboard
Go into MAGNET FIELD, click on Configure, click Global, then Keyboard, and press check on (or off) the MAGNET Keyboard Box.
4. How to change the background color
Go into MAGNET FIELD, Click on Configure, click Global, then Main, and under Color Scheme choose which background color you’d prefer (Silver is better for daytime lighting)
5. Restoring the FC-5000 back to the factory defaults
Before initiating a recovery, make sure the tablet is plugged in. Go to the Start Menu and select Settings, then select Update & Security, then select Recovery, then Reset This PC, and then Get Started. Choose Keep My Files or Remove everything. Depending on personal preference. A verification screen asks you to verify what you want to do with the existing files. The recovery process can take up to 3 hours.
6. Disable automatic OS updates
Type gpedit.msc into the search browser. Then select Computer Configuration, then Administrative Templates, then Windows Components, then Windows Update. Select Configure Automatic Updates and click on the Disabled button.
7. Updating Windows 10
On the Home Page, click the Windows Toolbar (in the bottom left hand corner. Click the Settings Icon, then choose Update & Security. Click Updates and your device should complete the task.
